A free gathering of writers of any genre.

Poetry!

Tom Dow led a panel discussion on poetry, featuring Caren Stuart, Mark MacAllister, and Judith Stanton. After the presentation, the panel took questions. This was a wonderful opportunity to explore the art of poetry!

If you missed the discussion, you can find the recording on YouTube here.

May – Reading for Writers Event

Reading is essential to the craft of writing. As Stephen King says, “If you don’t have time to read, you don’t have the time (or the tools) to write.”

Our selection is When the Jessamine Grows by NCWN member Donna Everhart, who has graciously agreed to join us for a discussion and Q&A. We’ll also talk about the importance of literary citizenship—supporting the literary community through reading, writing, and networking—which is at the heart of the Network and Writers’ Morning Out.

The book is available online and at several local libraries. We encourage you to read as much as possible before the event. While all are welcome, reading at least a portion of the book beforehand will make the discussion more rewarding for everyone.
